An independent awareness project. It is not run by or linked to any government body. For official help call 1930 or visit cybercrime.gov.in.

Is this a scam?

Paste an SMS, link, UPI ID or phone number.

Check a file or QR code

Pick an APK someone sent you, or a photo of a QR code. The file stays on your phone.

Only install apps from the Play Store. An APK sent on WhatsApp or SMS is a red flag every time.

Has your password leaked?

Only the first 5 characters of a scrambled copy leave your device, so the password stays private.

To check an email address, use haveibeenpwned.com. Then turn on two-step login and use a different password for every account.
